Burnt Store Marina is a development located directly on Charlotte Harbor with easy access to the Gulf of Mexico. The community is in a rural setting and includes the largest marina in southwest Florida. In addition, the community has a 27 hole golf course, two restaurants, a yacht club, and a fitness center with tennis courts.
The boating and sailing is some of the best in the world as the conditions are consistent and there are many wonderful places and islands to explore within a short distance. We personally enjoy kayaking, and BSM is an easy place to lauch a kayak; you can paddle to islands or secluded mangroves surrounded by birds within minutes. The community is also great for biking, walking, running, and golf carting. In addition, the fishing from “the wall” overlooking the channel connecting the North and South marinas is fantastic.
BSM is located approximately 10 miles south of Punta Gorda and 10 miles north of Ft. Myers and Cape Coral on Burnt Store Road. The barrier island of Pine Island is 10 minutes away and is home to the art and fishing village of Matlacha. BSM is only 45 minutes from the Ft. Myers airport, and is little less than two hours from Tampa’s airport (we use both all of the time). Flying into Sarasota (approximately 45 minutes north) is also an option, and there is a commercial airport in Punta Gorda (15 minutes away) with limited direct flights to the East coast and Midwest.
